Each company manages and executes its operations locally, while benefiting from shared expertise, scale and development capabilities across the partnership.

TTEP Italia

Flexible capacity and high standards for a secure Italian power system

With five thermal power plants and a capacity of about 4.6 GW, we contribute to Italy’s electricity supply. Our plants confirm a strong position in the Italian energy market. Through our power generation assets across the country, we contribute to the national energy security, by guaranteeing maximum efficiency, flexibility and programmability. We operate one H-class combined-cycle unit, while a second H-class unit is currently under construction, further strengthening the efficiency and flexibility of our gas-fired portfolio.

We distribute the energy produced in our plants on energy markets and provide dispatching services for plants owned by our subsidiaries.
We also supply electricity to industrial clients, offering high-quality service, reliability, and competitive solutions. Our people and plants are essential in supporting the energy transition while ensuring continuity of supply. Our operations follow high environmental, safety and reliability standards, supplying the annual energy needs of more than 4.6 million Italian households.

All facilities have achieved and retained EMAS environmental registration and maintain environmental and occupational health & safety certifications. When we talk about Safety, Environment and Health, #abbicura (#TakeCare) is our motto.

TTEP Netherlands

Reliable flexible generation supporting the Dutch energy transition

With an installed capacity of 2.6 GW, we are the third-largest operator of power generation assets in the Netherlands. We play a structural role in the Dutch energy system, contributing to security of supply while supporting the transition towards a more flexible and low-carbon energy mix.

Our core activities cover the full scope of the energy value chain, including electricity generation from modern, high-efficiency power plants, the trading of electricity, gas and CO₂, and the optimisation of energy production and dispatch across multiple assets.

In addition, we supply energy to business end-users through EP NL Energy. Our power plants form the operational backbone of our portfolio, providing the flexibility required to respond to fluctuating demand, renewable intermittency and evolving market conditions.

TTEP UK & Ireland

Power assets supporting security of supply in the UK and Ireland

TTEP UK & Ireland is an owner, operator, constructor and developer of power and energy assets in the UK and Ireland. We operate a number of power stations including Ballylumford, Corby, Kilroot, Tynagh, Langage, Lynemouth and South Humber Bank.
Our portfolio supports security of supply and contributes to the transition to a low‑carbon energy system. We invest across multiple technologies and continue to evaluate opportunities that strengthen flexibility, reliability and future readiness.
We have a capital investment plan of over £2bn across a number of projects, including 700 MW of Open Cycle Gas Turbines at Kilroot completed in 2024, and additional projects across different technologies including Combined Heat and Power, Battery Storage and Combined Cycle Gas Turbines.

Battery storage supporting grid flexibility

TTEP includes a participation in France focused on battery energy storage solutions. Battery storage supports power system flexibility by helping balance supply and demand, smoothing short‑term volatility and enabling greater integration of renewable generation.
Through storage, power systems can respond faster and more efficiently to changing conditions, supporting reliability and resilience alongside the continued growth of wind and solar.
